Off Road Track

The canberra region is lucky to have been blessed with one of the finest tracks in the country. The canberra clay makes for a brilliant surface, and with a little moisture sports a good racing groove after just one round of qualifiying.

The facilities have been upgaded in recent years with features including:

  • Permanent under cover drivers stand capable of comfortably holding 15 drivers.
  • Large, permanent under cover pit shelter, with plenty of space for more than 50 drivers.
  • Blue rock track surrounds, leaving good drainage for the pit areas and providing general cleanliness.
  • Permanent site shed, decked out for use as a canteen.
  • Water pumping facilities and water tanks holding 4000 litres of water.
  • Permanent toilet block 300 metres from the track.
  • Ample parking facilities behind the drivers stand.

The image below shows the facility and track, during the 2009 ACT state titles.

The CORMCC facility is located at the end of Kyeema Street, behind the National Velodrome. From Goyder Street, Narrabundah, turn in to Kyeema Street. Proceed through the gravel car park onto the tarmac, continue until you reach the amenities block. The driveway to the track is on the left hand side.

The track is closed to the public for general admission unless there is sanctioned racing. If you are able to get in touch with a committee member you may find that they are opening the track for practice on a non race day, this is the case on most sundays on the off racing weekends.
